About Jamie Ledsinger, EdD
Dr. Ledsinger believes that practicing mindfulness with younger generations will lead to a more positive future for all.
Dr. Ledsinger is proud to have worked in the field of education from 2003 to the present and is proud to have experience serving as an educational leader, school administrator, principal, assistant principal, teacher, coach and educational consultant within the Carolinas where she resides with her children.
In 2012, Dr. Ledsinger earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Wingate University. Her dissertation research and statistical analysis specifically analyzed brain-based literacy strategies with struggling readers while utilizing technology at the secondary level.
In 2011, Dr. Ledsinger earned her Educational Specialist degree at Wingate University and gained certification as a school superintendent.
Dr. Ledsinger earned her Masters in School Administration and Curriculum & Instruction at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has led as a school administrator and leader at the elementary and middle school levels since 2008.
Dr. Ledsinger has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her classroom teaching experience began in 2003 at the high school level as a high school English teacher, where she has been honored as Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
Dr. Ledsinger is a former college athlete who played volleyball for Appalachian State University and coached for 11 years with Carolina Juniors Volleyball and the North Carolina Public School System. In 2007, she received the Coach of the Year Award and led her team to the state playoffs.
As a principal, Dr. Ledsinger believes the school leader must be supportive, balanced, centered, and create an atmosphere of peace which leads to mutual respect within the school.
